“Peace is not God's gift to his creatures. It is our gift to each other”
~ Elie Wiesel

Peaceful Prayers

Let there be peace in the world.

Let us all see peace and not war.

Let us all have peace in the world.

Let all our statesmen know no violence,

Let all respect peace with real reverence.

Let peace pervade every political terrain,

Let peace calm the spirits of every domain,

Let peace be at peace with every reign,

Let each achieve peace with poor pain.

Peace, to you we plead: come to us.

Peace, we entreat you: deign on us.

Peace, we want you: envelope us.

Let our homes be adorned with peace,

Let our streets be paved with peace,

Let our cities be set on a hilltop of peace.

Let peace taint our every thought.

Let there be peace, let peace never cease

Let there be peace, let war forever cease.

~Jude Ogunade

Moral

Life, nature and its beautiful sources on earth is just for us and we should respect and enjoy them all, Do not disturb, polute or destroy this nature and humanity just for the shake of personal benefit.

“Fighting to kill or to be killed is not boldness, but fighting to get our rights back in favour is boldness”

To help someone needs nothing, but a heart with true feelings and common sense”

A Story about Gandhi
As Gandhi stepped aboard a train one day, one of his shoes slipped off and landed on the track. He was unable to retrieve it as the train started rolling. To the amazement of his companions, Gandhi calmly took off his other shoe and threw it back along the track to land close to the first shoe.Asked by a fellow passenger why he did that, Gandhi replied –
“The poor man who finds the shoe lying on the track will now have a pair he can use."

“Be not afraid of life. Believe that life IS worth living and your belief will help to create the fact.”
~ James Adams

A Poem
Moments in Life
There are moments in life when you miss someone, so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real!

When the door of happiness closes, another opens; but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one, which has been opened for us.
Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile, because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.
Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.
May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and enough hope to make you happy.
The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.
The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can't go forward in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you’re the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying. Don't count the years-count the memories...........

“Promise yourself that you’ll always remember: you’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”

A story
Motivation is a source of Power

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died. The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" The frog explained to them that: " he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time."

This story teaches two lessons: (1)
There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it through the day.
(2) A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes to kill them.
Be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your path. The power of words... it is sometimes hard to understand that an encouraging word can go such a long way. Anyone can speak words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in difficult times. Special is the individual who will take the time to encourage another.

“This is the universal truth that ‘The true’ itself changes its identity and definition as per the differences in circumstance, situation, time, view and position among people”

Life is a lesson to learn
When I was in elementary school, I got into a major argument with a boy in my class. I have forgotten what the argument was about, but I have never forgotten the lesson learned that day.
I was convinced that "I" was right and "he" was wrong - and he was just as convinced that "I" was wrong and "he" was right. The teacher decided to teach us a very important lesson. She brought us up to the front of the class and placed him on one side of her desk and me on the other.
In the middle of her desk was a large, round object. I could clearly see that it was black. She asked the boy what color the object was. "White," he answered.
I couldn’t believe he said the object was white, when it was obviously black! Another argument started between my classmate and me, this time about the color of the object.
The teacher told me to go stand where the boy was standing and told him to come stand where I had been. We changed places, and now she asked me what the color of the object was. I had to answer, "White." It was an object with two differently colored sides, and from his viewpoint it was white. Only from my side was it black.

My teacher taught me a very important lesson learned that day:

“You must stand in the other person’s shoes and look at the situation through their eyes in order to truly understand their perspective”
